The following is a list of terms that you can expect to encounter during the
course of a Sic Bo game. This will give you a better familiarity of the game and
possibly help you win.
| Any Double |
This refers to a bet on the probability that two of the dices
will come up with the number that you choose. The chances of this happening are
8 to 1, and it is also called Any Pair. |
| Any Triple |
This bet presupposes that all three dice will come up with the
number you bet on. The chances of this happening are 24-1. |
| Betting Limit |
This term is most often used in table games, and it refers to
the minimum and maximum amounts of money that you can bet on a single game. You
will not be allowed to bet less or more than the minimum and the maximum amounts
respectively. |
| Birdcage |
This tern refers to the break-even point in the American version
of Sic Bo. If it were possible to play the game indefinitely, this is the point
in which all your bets thus far would be equal to the payoffs that you would get
in the event of win. |
| Cage |
This is the device wherein the dice is tumbled prior to being rolled. |
| Combination bet |
This is a wager that assumes that the two dice will show
the numbers that the player chooses. |
| Chuck-a-Luck |
This is the American version of Sic Bo. |
| Double |
This bet assumes that the chosen number will appear on two of the
dice. The chances of this happening are 5-1. |
| Even Bet |
This is bet assumes that that total of the dice would equal an
even number. |
| Grand Hazard |
This is another version of Sic Bo. |
| Hi Lo |
This is a form of Sic Bo commonly played in the Philippines. |
| Layout |
This refers to the table of bets and possible payouts. |
| Lose On Any Triple |
In this scenario, the three dices coming up with the
same number means that you lose on small and big bets. |
| Lucky Dice |
Another name for Sic Bo. |
| Odd bet |
This is a bet in which the total of the dice is an odd number. |
| Re-Bet |
This move repeats the bets that you did in the previous spin. |
| Small Bet |
This bet assumes that the dice total will amount to a sum between
4 and 10. |
| Spin |
This term refers to shaking the cage prior to rolling the dice. |
| Three Single Number Combination |
This term refers to a specific three number
combination announced by the player. If all three dice come up with exactly that
combination, the player wins that round. |
| Triple |
This is a bet wherein all the dice displays a specific number. This
bet pays out 150-1. |
| Two Faces |
This is a combination bet wherein the player will have to predict
two of the numbers that will appear on the dice. The payout for this bet is
usually in the range of 6-1 and 60-1. |
