With the massive growth in popularity of Texas Hold'em and other live poker games, it was only a matter of time before a simplified version of the game was adopted at land casinos. As with most games, online casinos caught on quickly and most providers launched an RNG version of Casino Hold'em.
Playtech was the first to introduce a live dealer version of Casino Hold'em It is a standard game in the download software that is streamed from their European studio.
Game layout is very similar to Playtech's other live dealer games, as can be seen from the video demonstration below.
A quick overview of the rules follows:
- All players start with an Ante bet.
- As with the live game, you get two "hole cards" but they are dealt face up. The dealer's two cards are face down.
- The dealer deals the 3 card "flop".
- Now you can fold or call (a 2x Ante bet).
- The turn and river are dealt simultaneously.
- You win if the dealer has pocket fours or better and you beat his hand, you
win, according to the payout table
