UK National Lottery Review
The U.K. National lottery is the largest in the country with several different ways to play. Games include: Lotto, Lotto Hotpicks, Thunderball, Dream Number, Scratchcards, Daily Play, Euro Millions and Instant Win Games. Unlike in the U.S. where participants must be 21 years of age to play lotteries, the U.K. National Lottery is open to those of just 16 years of age. The biggest single night was New Year’s Eve 1999 when the Big Draw 2000 created over 18 millionaires in a single draw. All winnings are paid in a lump sum and are tax free. Players, pick six different numbers and prizes are awarded to those that match at least three of those numbers.
Matching all six will win the jackpot. In addition to creating millionaires, the U.K. lottery as also raised over £5 billion since 1994 for charity.
