Poker fans in the United Kingdom and Scandinavia will soon be seeing a lot
more of the top poker brand, RedKings Poker, after the group was granted
white label status this week.
The status means that the poker site can operate relatively freely in the
European Union following an agreement that it signed with the Gibraltar based
Ongame software network. Ongame's geographic location means that its partner
sites can more easily receive white label status.
RedKings Poker issued a statement this week which read: "In just two years,
RedKings.com has already achieved meteoric growth and with this new white label
poker license, we anticipate a huge surge of business, especially from the
Scandinavian countries and the United Kingdom."
"We are proud to have achieved the exacting standards that are required for a
license of this kind," added the group.
The poker site said that its first focus would be to market its product in
the United Kingdom, as was now allowed under UK gambling legislation for white
label status companies.
In the meantime, Team RedKings is gearing to take on a number of tournaments
around the globe, starting with the European Poker Tour in Copenhagen this week.
Two new additions were recently announced to this growing team - Chris Heich
of Aussie Millions fame and World Series of Poker bracelet winner, Ivo "The
Chessmaster" Dovey.
The Live Events Manager for Team RedKings, Jerry Land pointed out that "it's
great to have good players wanting to join us in making RedKings.com one of the
biggest poker rooms in the world."
