The Microgaming Poker Network had cause for celebration last week
after the software company announced that its Bad Beat Jackpot had been won by
two lucky players.
The poker players, who had both been playing at Ladbrokes Poker, were stunned
to realize that they had hit the $120,000 jackpot.
Bad Beat jackpots essentially allow players who lose with a particularly high
hand to grab a significant sum of money. Hands of Four of a Kind, 8's or better
need to beaten for the jackpot to kick in. Players who choose to play at Bad
Beat tables pay an extra amount into the pot for a chance of winning the
jackpot.
Both players had been trying their luck at Bad Beat Table 1 which carries low
stakes of $1/$2.
Microgaming only recently welcomed Ladbrokes onboard to its ever growing
poker network, and after the site could reward two of its players with such a
great jackpot win, it was a fine welcome indeed!
The Head of Events and Promotions at Ladbrokes Poker, Nigel Blower said:
"It's great to see that Ladbrokes players are already taking advantage of
network promotions such as the Bad Beat Jackpot and reaping the rewards just six
weeks after us joining forces with Microgaming!"
The two lucky players, Carrotkid and tjv1964, have been loyal Ladbrokes poker
players for a number of years and, after this win, it seems they will continue
to stick to this site and network for years to come!
Microgaming's poker network is considered to be one of the strongest in the
world, and powers over 40 of the most popular online poker sites around.
The Bad Beat Jackpot has been reset once more and players are already
flocking to their favorite Microgaming powered power sites to try their luck.
