One of the most exciting soccer matches this year, the World Cup qualifier
between England and Ukraine, will be played in two days on October 10.
Exclusive internet broadcast rights have been sold for this game and online
betting group, Bet365 has bought these rights for the benefit of its
account holders.
"We stream over 5,000 events live a year, so when good quality matches become
available, we look to see if we can secure them," said the Chief Executive of
Bet365, John Coates. "The fact that none of the UK television companies have
taken the rights makes the broadcast more significant, and we are pleased to be
able to make the game available for free for customers with a funded account."
After talks were held between the rights holder, Perform Group, and top ISPs
and online betting groups, it was decided that Bet365 would obtain internet
broadcast rights, as well as a number of newspaper sites, including The Sun and
The Times.
The game will also be showed on Perform Group's UkrainevEngland.com
pay-per-view site.
UK online betting groups continue to get involved in the soccer industry as
the season sets in and ahead of the FIFA World Cup due to take place in South
African next year.
Some of the global groups that have signed sponsorship groups with top soccer
clubs recently include Betfair (FC Barcelona and Manchester United), Bwin (Real
Madrid), Bodog (Fulham FC), 188Bet (Chelsea FC) and a number of others.
In the meantime, Bet365 continues to provide quality gaming options to
players, through its casino, poker, games and bingo links.
The site is also offering a $200 match bonus to new customers.
