It used to be a question of 'if' at Paddy Power, regarding the future of the
manager of the beleaguered football team, Liverpool.
Odds were posted regarding 'if' Rafa Benitez would survive the season,
however that question has now changed to 'when', after it seems absolutely
certain that the manager may not even see it to the end of the season.
Liverpool has performed abominably over the past season, winning just one
game in nine.
In fact, analysts say that Liverpool's performance is the worst they have
ever seen in the history of this prestigious football club.
So when is Rafa predicted to leave the team?
Paddy Power believes that the manager is off the field by Christmas Day
(5/1).
Odds at 1/2 are that things may look slightly rosier for Rafa and he survives
until the end of the end of the season.
The odds on Rafa's survival rate at Paddy Power so far is:
Will he survive until Christmas Day 2009? Yes: 1/10; No: 5/1
Will he survive until the end of the season? Yes: 1/3; No: 6/4
Paddy Power also puts Liverpool at 6/1 to finish behind Everton this season.
The chances of Liverpool winning the trophy Premier League are 28/1 and the
Champions League a whopping 40/1.
