Joe Tipped to Win X Factor

by Ryan D. Jaeger

Joe McElderry is the current favourite to win

The judges of the X Factor were told to give Joe McElderry 'extra support' by Simon Cowell, according to the Daily Mail.

Cowell is determined that the 18 year old will take the title and has been pressing his fellow judges to think like him, it was revealed.

This week saw Lloyd Daniels voted off the show, leaving only four standing - McElderry, Olly Murs, Danyl Johnson and last lady, Stacey Soloman.

However, Cowell's own acts, 25 year old Murs and 27 year old Johnson are apparently angry that the controversial judge is backing McElderry.

Cowell's request for the other judges to praise McElderry was showcased on Saturday night when Louis Walsh said: "You've got the voice, you have got the personality. You were born to do this."

Dannii Minogue said: "I have to see you in the final. Please vote for Joe."

Joe put in a superb performance on Saturday night and continues to wow the crowds. The student seems to be set to become a musical star, no matter how he does in the X Factor, and is considered the favorite to win.

It is predicted that single mum, Stacey Solomon, will take second place in the competition.

Odds for the final winners of the X Factor are currently posted at Paddy Power novelty bets as follows:

  • Joe Mc Elderry - 8/11
  • Stacey Solomon - 10/3
  • Olly Murs - 4/1
  • Danyl Johnson - 13/2
