Miss England, Rachel Christie, will be representing her home country in the
Miss World 2009 beauty pageant that is set to kick off in South Africa tomorrow
night.
One hundred beauties from around the globe will converge at the Gallaher
Convention Center in Johannesburg to vie for the title of Miss World, and by the
looks of things, competition looks very tough.
Miss World will be broadcast live in the UK on the Travel channel 251
and 252 on Saturday and viewers are waiting with baited breath to see how their
favourites will fare.
In the meantime, the lovely contestants have toured Johannesburg's sites and
attractions, visiting Nelson Mandela Square, the Johannesburg Lion Park and the
newly refurbished Soccer City Stadium.
The contestants' families have already arrived in South Africa to cheer on
their girls.
