This month sees the United Kingdom host a very important conference -
Legal Gaming in Europe - which will essentially assist operators navigate
their way through the minefield of gaming and gambling laws in European markets.
The conference aims to provide the latest updates for European gambling laws
and will look at issues such as what products can be offered in specific
European jurisdictions, tax frameworks and commitment to responsible gaming.
The conference will run from January 25 - 26, 2010 and has several top people
in the industry already signed up, including the CEO of Bettson, legal counsel
for William Hill and Playtech and the Managing Director of Betfair.
The conference will provide a lowdown on lucrative new markets such as
Denmark, Spain and Italy, and will look at the European Commission's standpoint
on the many changes we are seeing in the industry today.
Participants will also be able to delve into issues such as lobbying from
associations, regulators and operators and will be provided with a country by
country guide to gambling laws in Europe, USA, Asia and South America.
Legal counsels, lawyers and other industry experts will be on hand to provide
incisive and vibrant discussions on all issues and participants will receive
answers to all their legislation questions from across Europe.
Conference organizers promise that Legal Gaming in Europe will not be
sales oriented; rather it will be "an intimate forum designed to serve those
involved in planning for, and expanding their business in Europe."
