Paddy Power certainly thinks so!
The leading UK sports betting site has dropped the odds of a break up between
the country's most photographed couple - David Beckham and Victoria (aka Posh
Spice) - from 80/1 to 10/1 after detecting unusual betting patterns at its site
on the couple.
Paddy Power said that it had noted that several new customers had joined up
at the site in recent days to bet exclusively on the split, leading them to
suspect that there is more than meets the eye with this highly publicized
couple.
"The Beckhams were 80/1 on our list as they've been through some tough times
before but always showed a unite front," said a spokesman for Paddy Power,
Sharon Mc Hugh. "It's hard to imagine them splitting up but there is a reason
why these people are having a bet. We just don't know it yet!"
The odds went through a series of chops throughout the day, from 80/1, to
33/1 to 18/1 and finally to 10/1.
Paddy Power odds on the most likely couple to split in 2010 are currently
