Paddy Power have cut the odds of the Baltimore Ravens in
their NFL playoffs encounter against the formidable New England Patriots, as
money has come for the wild card qualifying underdogs.
The Ravens were +4 points in the opening line but that spread has now shortened
in to +3 points with most UK bookmakers as value punters nibble on the road team
to cause a betting upset. The Patriots are faced with injuries to several key
players, most notably their star receiver Wes Welker, but they are still a tough
nut to crack at home in January.
The weather could be a key factor here and we advise all NFL punters to first
see if conditions are inclement as that could play into the hands of the home
team, and would also make a bet on the Under for total points advisable.
Our selection for this game is to go with the old experience of Tom Brady and
Randy Moss, who have been through this all before, and could outplay the young
Ravens offense.
Betting on this NFL playoff game as well as all the other American Football
postseason action is now available online at Paddy Power's sports book.
