Rumours are flying that Mel B, singer for the group Spice Girls, will become
the next permanent judge on the singing show, X Factor.
So far, Mel B has refused to confirm or deny these rumours but it is
generally thought that she will be replacing Dannii Minogue who announced her
pregnancy last week.
When approached about the rumours, Mel B has added fuel to the rumours by
saying coyly: "It's something I can't talk about."
The 34 year old has hinted in previous interviews that she might be joining
the UK talent show as a permanent judge and Paddy Power bookies has odds of 2/1
posted that this will be the case.
Mel B was recently heard advocating young Brits to get into the music
industry 'any which way', adding that they didn't need shows like the X Factor
to get them to the top.
"Do it through a record company, online, through You Tube," she said. "There
are so many different options to get your career started now than there were ten
years ago."
Another potential judge is Robbie Williams, another favourite on the UK music
scene.
Williams, who has appeared twice on X Factor and even performed in the
finals, has odds of 5/1 posted at Paddy Power that he will join the likes of
Simon Cowell as a judge on the show.
Paddy Power odds for the next X Factor judge are as follows:
Mel B - 2/1
Robbie Williams - 5/1
Eminem - 8/1
Lily Allen - 14/1
Victoria Beckham - 14/1
Paula Abdul - 16/1
Kelly Rowland - 18/1
Will Young - 18/1
Piers Morgan - 20/1
Sharon Osbourne - 20/1
