Super Bowl Betting Latest Colts Saints Spread Odds

by Anton Johan

New Orleans Saints vs Indianapolis Colts on Sunday

UK bookmakers like Bet365.com are reporting a huge level of betting interest in the 2010 Super Bowl, which will be played late this Sunday night (kick off is at 11:25 pm GMT) between the favoured Indianapolis Colts and the fan-favourite New Orleans Saints.

The Colts are -4.5 points in the latest point spread, although that is at odds of 20/23 according to Bet365. The Saints are trading at +4.5 20/21, so slightly better odds than the usual 10/11 price for American Football games. The Saints have attracted some betting support during the week after the spread went out as high as -6 points with some bookies.

Indianapolis were attracting all the early money after the line opened at -3 points and was gobbled up by shrewd bettors who were more impressed with the Colts clinical display against the Jets in the AFC Championship then they were with the Saints fortuitous victory over the self-destructive Vikings in the NFC Championship.

The Over/Under total points betting market for the game opened sky- high at 56.5 combined points and has stayed there throughout the week.
It seems way too high based on public perception, which is usually incorrect, and our recommended value wager for this game is to bet on the Under.

There are also a variety of Super Bowl prop bets offered by a variety of online bookmakers, including Bet365, and we recommend a bet on the Saints to score a TD in the First Quarter of play (current odds are
12/10) as well as a bet on the Colts to score last in the game (current odds are 5/7).
