Betting patterns for ITV's song show, Popstar to Operastar have been
erratic to say the least since it first launched.
While Danny Jones was once firm favourite to win the competition, last weekend
saw him become the fourth singer to be voted off the show.
The McFly band member was upbeat despite his loss and said after the voting:
"I've had so much fun. I've learned a lot and I'm going to have a holiday."
He was cheered on by his fellow band mates who turned up to support him in
the audience.
There are now only a handful of remaining contestants in Popstar to Operastar,
with Bernie Nolan now the firm favourite at Paddy Power to take the competition.
The Nolan Sisters singer, who, as part of the legendary group has sold over
25 million records worldwide, said that the TV show has been an "incredible"
experience.
"When I heard about this series, it immediately appealed because my mother
was the only trained singer in our family," she said.
"It's a joy!" the 49 year old singer said about Popstar to Operastar. "The
experience has been incredible. I'm learning so many things I never knew I
needed as a singer!"
Current Popstar to Operastar odds posted at Paddy Power as follows:
- Bernie Nolan - 5/4
- Kym Marsh - 5/2
- Marcella Detroit 7/2
- Darius Campbell 4/1
