Following a successful trial quarter, Netplay has sealed a deal with
STV Group Plc to broadcast its popular ChallengeJackpot.com.
The show is one of live interactive gambling specialist, NetPlay's branded
shows and will broadcast six nights a week on Scottish TV.
The new deal covers a two year period.
Last year, NetPlay also signed a five year deal with Channel Five to provide
the network with its SuperCasino brand.
Since the deal, NetPLay has experienced considerable growth across the board.
Speaking about the deal with STV, the Chief Executive Officer of NetPlay,
Martin Higginson said: "This agreement builds on the pivotal deal we signed with
Channel Five. Confirmation of the increase in top line bets, deposits and sign
ups proves our belief in TV as a new and exciting distribution channel for
gaming services."
Higginson spoke of the recent changes in Ofcom rules which allow broadcasters
to explore new options to generate revenues.
These rules have "enabled us to secure the majority of TV distribution
channels in the UK," said Higginson. "With these secured, we believe NetPlay TV
is now well positioned to dominate this space and create a significant new
gaming market."
STV is considered the biggest commercial TV broadcaster in Scotland and
reaches the screens of over 4 million viewers each month.
NetPlay TV's brands and services are fully licensed in Malta and Alderney.
