If it doesn't rain, it pours. Yet another UK footballer's relationship has
been threatened after news of inappropriate behaviour became public.
One of the most high profile couples in the football/entertainment world,
Ashley and Cheryl Cole are reportedly 'living apart' after news broke
that the Chelsea footballer had sent suggestive text messages and nude photos of
himself to a topless model.
While Ashley is nursing a broken ankle at his home in Surrey, his Girls Aloud
pop singer wife has been apparently living at a Kensington hotel.
It was only a month ago that Paddy Power was offering bets that the Coles
would be the first couple this year to announce a pregnancy, but those odds have
now changed to Cheryl's lifestyle post-Ashley.
The UK bookie is offering odds on who the first person Cheryl Cole will date
after she splits with her husband.
Odds are being offered at 6/1 that it will be Lewis Hamilton, while other
names such as Aston Merrygold (8/1) and Marvin Humes (8/1) have also cropped up.
Even odds on a possible romance with former English side captain John Terry
(250/1) are being offered.
In the meantime, Cheryl's publicist has neither denied or confirmed that the
couple are living apart, pouring even more fuel on the fire.
In 2008, Aimee Walton, a hairdresser, claimed that she had embarked on an
affair with Ashley Cole, leading to rumours that the marriage was over. But it
was only recently that Cheryl told friends that she was "still madly in love"
with Ashley and that the marriage was "stronger than it had ever been".
