New Remote Pool Betting Site Launched

LastFan.com releases twist on a football prediction game

A new remote pool betting service has been launched by LastFan.com, a group that is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission.

The service allows footie fans to compete against others head to head on a new online football prediction gaming site that focuses on the UK football scene.

Players essentially predict which team will win each week, with great prizes up for grabs.

Speaking for LastFan.com, David Murphy said about the pool betting service: "There are lots of prediction games around but the chances of winning them are small. We wanted to provide a real pot that is won by fans testing their football knowledge against each other."

Instead of playing against set odds, players try to win a cash prize that consists of the entries into the game. Entry fees range from £3 to 10, and the only thing that needs to be done is predict which team will win each win.

A player who predicts a winning team goes through to another round and a new team needs to be chosen.

As such, the pot is won by the 'last fan' who is left in the game. LastFan.com will charge admin and card processing charges from the winner.

"We know it works - we know people already play this way in offices around the country; we've just put it online so that you can either play in a larger game for a bigger pot, or you can set up your own game to test your mettle against your mates," said Murphy.

LastFan.com was founded by a group of three footie fans who wanted to create an online version of a familiar concept.

The site is managed by Online Predictions Ltd.
