The Wizard of Oz was made famous by Judy Garland who played Dorothy on the
big screen so many years ago.
And now Andrew Lloyd Weber, unarguably the world's greatest stage songwriter,
will bring the magic of Dorothy to life once more on a new West End show.
But who will play Dorothy on stage?
BBC's show, Over the Rainbow is a reality search for the new Dorothy
and the UK public is following each week's episode with much interest as the
contestants are whittled down to the very best of the pick.
Current odds have Jessica Robinson as the favourite to win the role, followed
by Danielle Hope and Stephanie Davis who are second placed favourite, depending
on which bookie site you look.
Eighteen year old Jessica from Middlesbrough has been taking singing lessons
since the age of six and acting has been in her blood for many years since she
joined the Middlesbrough Youth Theatre company.
She was also a finalist at the Miss Dance competition at Blackpool Winter
Gardens.
Danielle Hope, 17, who hails from Greater Manchester, is a full time student
who is keen dancer. She performed at a number of festivals over the years,
including the BBC African Dance Project.
Stephanie Davis, also 17, has had a number of small roles in TV shows
including Doctors, Holby City and the Outsiders, but her greatest wish is to be
a West End Star.
Current Over the Rainbow Odds:
Jessica Robinson 9/4
Stephanie Davis 4/1
Danielle Hope 4/1
Bronte Barb 6/1
Lauren Samuels 7/1
