Next Labour Party Leader Latest Betting

by Anton Johan

Odds have been posted on who will replace Gordon Brown

What are the possible scenarios after the upcoming UK elections?

1. Labour stays in a power (with or without a majority)

2. A Tory minority government is formed

3. The Conservatives win outright.

Whichever one of these three scenarios, it is clear that David Miliband would be the perfect candidate to take over the Labour Party's reigns.

Victor Chandler sports betting site, like many other UK bookie sites, is running a special politics betting category ahead of the elections, and has odds of 5/2 that David Miliband will be the next permanent Labour Party leader.

Some are questioning whether Miliband has the ambition or the charisma to carry him to the top of the Labour Party but we will have to wait for the results to see.

The second favourite at Victor Chandler is Alan Johnson, who has said enough times in the past that he is not interested in the job. This hasn't stopped bookies placing his odds at 7/2.

Another Miliband - Ed, this time, has odds of 5/1 of being the next permanent leader. He has always kept a low profile and is said to be close to Brown politically.
