Microgaming, the industry's leading software group, announced this week that its popular online progressive slot game, Mega Moolah, continues to draw the crowds.
Perhaps the biggest appeal of this game is the fact that it carries jackpots on four different levels (Mega, Major, Maxi and Mini).
Out of the four levels, the Mega jackpot is undoubtedly the one that everyone has their eyes on and has paid out a total of five times since the game first launched in 2006.
The Mega jackpot is reset to a whopping €1 million each time and the success of the game means that the jackpot rises very quickly.
A total of €12.3 million has been won at this level, with the biggest single payout, in one single payment, was €6.37 million!!
At Maxi level, over a quarter of a million players have won the jackpot so far with a total payout of €20 million being recorded.
All in all, Mega Moolah has paid over one million lucky players a total of £44 million across all four jackpot levels since the game first launched.
"We have been delighted by the success of Mega Moolah since its launch and its unique design and in-game feature have proved tremendously popular with a wide range of players," said the Mike Hebden of Microgaming.
"Innovation has always been at the heart of what we do and we are committed to providing market leading software that continues to engage with players and push the boundaries of a what a progressive slot can do."
