Is it a girl, or isn't it? The public won't have to wait very long to see whether the father of Dannii Minogue's baby, Kris Smith, let the beans spill when he allegedly said in an interview that "there's been a few sleepless nights but it will be all worth it to see her beautiful face."
Minogue, sister to singer Kylie Minogue, is due to have her first child in July and yesterday adamantly denied that Smith revealed the sex of the baby.
The rugby player supposedly made the remark at a charity event in Australia but Dannii quickly jumped in by saying that her partner had been misunderstood.
"He didn't say anything about the gender," said the X-Factor judge in an interview to the Herald Sun. "It was just his accent. He's upset people still don't understand him!"
Minogue said he was referring to Smith's strong Mancunian accent.
"We laugh about how much people want to know what sex it is," she said. "They won't have to wait too long."
Until the baby is born, bookies are taking bets on potential names for it.
Paddy Power, for example, has offered these odds:
Carol 6/1
Isabella 8/1
Lily 8/1
Ava 8/1
Chloe 8/1
Ronald 12/1
