Online Gambling Dragonfish Group CEO to Leave

by Renee Israel

Ceo of Dragonfish has announced that he will leave this 888 Holdings division

In 888 Holdings' last financial report, it was shown that its relatively new business to business division, Dragonfish, was its only profitable division.

888 issued a profit warning recently, saying that the impact of the World Cup soccer tournament would left its profit "significantly lower" than market expectations.

However, despite these dire warnings, the groups B2B division continues to grow under the leadership of its Chief Executive Officer, Gabi Campos.

But now, in a new blow to 888 Holdings, Campos announced his departure from the group, as he wanted to pursue "new challenges".

A very brief announcement by 888 Holdings this week indicated that Campos was leaving the group and that a replacement for his role as Chief Executive Officer was being sought.

"We would like to thank Gabi for his contributions," said the Chief Executive of 888, Gigi Levy. "A replacement will be announced in due course, and 888 looks forward to further growth from Dragonfish in the future."

The person who takes over as the new CEO of Dragonfish will have big shoes to fill.

Campos managed to build Dragonfish into one of the most profitable groups in the industry, building partnerships with some of the biggest groups out there and developing a vision that forged the group ahead of the rest.

Dragonfish grew revenues to $51 million in 2009 and continues to grow from month to month.

Levy said that he would be taking over Campos' responsibilities until a new CEO had been found for Dragonfish.
