Short of perhaps a NASA-designed Lunar Rover, £12.4 million can buy just about any car on the planet, but for recent
EuroMillions Lottery winner Sharon Mather, a new £11,000 Peugeot 207 is all she wants.
While most aspiring lottery jackpot winners in the world dream about slapping down wads of cash in Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche or Bugatti dealerships, for mum-of two Sharon, a 0-60 in 15.7s Peugeot is her dream car.
After winning the massive
EuroMillions jackpot, 44-year-old Sharon, her 44-year-old husband Nigel and their two sons Rhys and Lewis never have to worry about money again, and neither does Sharon's dad John Morris.
When quizzed about her huge EuroMillions Lottery windfall, Sharon attributed her life-changing win to her dad. She explained how John paid for Sharon and her family to enjoy a week at the seaside in Minehead, Somerset.
And it was while in Minehead that Sharon bought the winning lucky dip EuroMillions ticket. 'The win was all thanks to dad's generosity,' she told reporters recently. Unfortunately, John is currently in hospital after not feeling well.
'We had to cut the trip short to see him in hospital as he wasn't very well,' continued Sharon. 'But he's recovering and we were thrilled to tell him of his amazing gift. We'll make sure that we return the favour when he is better.'
As to what else the lucky couple want to spend their new fortune on, Nigel said that although they have no major plans, he'd like to take Sharon on a long overdue trip to Venice and perhaps treat himself to a new Audi Q7.
