After slamming through Tuesday's match to beat Uruguay 3-2, Holland has reached the finals of the World Cup.
The team is now set to meet Spain in the final.
This was the first time that Holland reached the World Cup since 1978, promising an incredible final between two teams that are most deserving of the title.
As such, betting sites are looking forward to one of the greatest World Cup rides in history.
In the meantime, William Hill said that it had taken its biggest bet to date in the game between Germany and Spain on July 7.
A single bet of €500,000 was placed on Germany beating Spain at odds of 10-11.
If Germany had knocked out Spain, the client would have made a profit of €454,000.
"We can't remember ever taking a bigger bet on a World Cup match than this one," said a spokesperson for William Hill, Tony Kenny before the match. "It's an unbelievable bet and I think it goes without saying that we'll be cheering on anyone but Germany."
Bookmakers are offering differing odds regarding the outright winner of the World Cup.
Coral bookmakers, for example, had offering odds of 21/10 that Germany will win the tournament.
