Girls Aloud star, Cheryl Cole may have missed X Factor boot camp following hospitalization for malaria, but bookies believe that she will be back to act as a judge in the later stages of the show.
The 27 year old collapsed earlier this month and was rushed to hospital. There, she received intensive care treatment for complications resulting from malaria which she picked up following a recent trip to Tanzania.
While Cole has since been released from intensive care and transferred to a private hospital, she announced that she was pulling out of X Factor bootcamp stages, as well as the V Festival, due to run from August 21-22.
UK betting sites, however, are offering odds of 15/8 that Cole will recover in time to mentor her third consecutive winner in the popular music show.
A statement from the X Factor team said: "Our priority is to ensure Cheryl is fit and well before she returns to work and to give our contestants a fair and proper opportunity to compete in the show."
A number of betting markets have opened regarding this year's X Factor.
Odds on which audition city will provide the next X Factor winner:
London 11/8
Manchester 5/2
Birmingham 7/2
Glasgow 6/1
Cardiff 8/1
Dublin 12/1
