With the World Cup now behind us, the world is looking towards the next huge sporting event, and all eyes are on the London Olympic Games of 2012.
Everyone understands the power of music in the months leading up to the Games, building up a spirit that seems to unite one and all.
Just look at how Shakira's Waka Waka became a world hit before the World Cup kicked off in South Africa.
With the official two years mark to the London Games now passed, organizers are seeking out a theme song, and betting markets have opened on the singer or group who will perform this soundtrack.
Favourites at betting sites at present are pop icons, Take That, with odds at 2/1.
British pop singer, Leona Lewis is second favourite at 3/1.
"Every Olympics has a theme tune to the games and with Britain's rich music history, the organizing committee will be under serious pressure to not mess up the selection," said a spokesperson for Paddy Power.
"The reaction to the controversial logo and mascots was mixed to say the least, so there is no doubt the band and song selection will get the same amount of attention."
Odds on the official London Games singer as follows:
Take That 2/1
Leona Lewis 3/1
Katherine Jenkins 8/1
Alexandra Burke 8/1
Heather Small 10/1
Dizzee Rascal 12/1
......
Jedward 100/1
Katie Price 500/1
