Badly Behaved Celebs Trigger Betting Markets

by Renee Israel

Betting market has been triggered on badly behaved celebs

Less than two weeks ago, Lindsay Lohan headed to jail to serve out a 90 day prison term for violating her alcohol-related parole terms.

However, after serving just 13 days, Lohan was released to attend a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, with authorities citing 'overcrowding' of prisons and Lohan's 'good behavior' as reasons for her early release.

Two years ago, Lohan was sent to the same prison for drunk driving and drug possession offences, however she only served 84 minutes (!) of that sentence.

With badly behaved celebs making headlines, UK bookie sites are offering odds on the next one to find him or herself behind bars.

"There seems to be a spate of celebrities behaving badly at the moment, but thankfully judges no longer have any qualms about banging up the bad boys and girls," said a spokesman for William Hill, Joe Crilly.

"Not only is the reputation of the judicial system profiting from the locking up of these celebrities, but also some of our far sighted punters who backed 'puffer' Paris and naughty Naomi to get led away in handcuffs lately," he said.

Amy Winehouse is the favourite at William Hill to land up in jail next, with odds of 2/1, with Pete Doherty following with 7/1.

Other odds are:

Courtney Love 9/1

George Michael 10/1

Kerry Katona 12/1

Naomi Campbell 12/1

Whitney Houston 12/1

Jonathan Rhys Meyers 14/1
