Poker fans have a chance to influence the results of the first ever British Poker Awards that will be held next month in London.
With eight of the eleven awards being readers' choices, the ceremony is very much about what and who the poker world - players included - wants to celebrate.
The ceremony will be held at the Fox Poker Club on September 13th and will celebrate the very best of British Poker.
Prizes will be awarded to players who made their mark in a number of categories, namely: Best Cash Player, Best Tournament Player, Best Online Player, Best International Player, Best Poker League, Best Contribution to Poker, Best UK Poker Forum, Best All Round Player, Best New Player and Player of the Year.
To view the different categories and the shortlisted players, poker fans are welcome to access the official site of the awards (www.thebritishpokerawards.com) and cast their vote.
A number of top players to appear on the lists include Chris Moorman in the best online player category and James Akenhead at best tournament player.
The best international (non-British) player will also be provided with an awards, with the shortlist consisting of players such as Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan and Patrik Antonius.
The awards will also be celebrating the fantastic run that British players had at this year's World Series of Poker tournament in Vegas, leading the series to be named the Year of the Brits.
Five UK players snagged five WSOP bracelets this year, besides a stream of final table appearances and deep finishes.
Best Online Poker Player Shortlist:
Chris "Moorman1" Moorman, Richard "Chufty" Ashby, Lawrence "Rivermanl" Houghton, Luke "FullFlush1" Schwartz, Ben "milkbarkid" Grundy.
