In an interesting survey commissioned by leading online casino, InterCasino, it was found that many Brits would go to extreme lengths to get their hands on a cool million.
The survey was run to celebrate the £1.025 million milestone reached by Millionaire Club progressive slot game's ever-growing jackpot.
The survey's mission was to study the attitudes of 2,000 people to getting rich - and the results were amazing.
Firstly, it seems that sex is of less importance to Brits than was previously believed.
A whopping 49% of those asked said that they would gladly give up sex for a year in exchange for the prize money.
Not so surprisingly, 45% of men said that they would be willing to sleep with a stranger to win the money, while 17% of women said that they would.
Only a third of those asked said that they would be willing to shun Facebook in return for the jackpot prize.
"In these cash strapped times, many of us would go to great lengths for the chance to become millionaires," said InterCasino. "The nation's obsession with social networking, however means that many of us would prefer to put our sex lives on hold rather than risk missing out socially by quitting sites such as Facebook."
Other interesting facts which emerged from the survey:
- 17% of men said they would cheat on their partners to get rich.
- 7% of women would do the same.
- Men are twice as likely as women to agree that they would stop at nothing to win the cash.
- Most women prefer JK Rowling's modest lifestyle to the OTT style adopted by Posh Beckham and Paris Hilton.
