Microgaming software group has put out an official announcement regarding the imminent launch of the exciting new game The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring.
The game is the first in the series of slot machines that are based on the popular movie trilogy, and comes after a lucrative multi licensing agreement was signed between Microgaming and Warner Brothers Digital Distribution last year.
The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring promises to be one of the most exciting games ever launched, especially as it will be the first to use Microgaming's Cinematic Spins gaming technology.
This software essentially allows movie clips to act as moving backgrounds behind the game's reels during spins.
"Microgaming has always been ahead of the curve with innovative offerings, but this game really does push the boundaries of what an online slot can do," said the Chief Executive Officer of Microgaming, Roger Raatgever.
"The Fellowship of the Ring looks and feels like an extension of the big screen film experience and we're confident that our operators will see a great deal of demand from their players when the game is released," he added.
The game boasts win sequences and expanding wilds that also use cinematic clips in place of traditional animated graphics.
Players can view iconic scenes from the original films, including Ringwraiths during the attack at Weathertop, and more.
