NFL exhibition games have kicked off, and with it punters who follow American Football have begun to bet in earnest. The preseason is an ideal time to fatten the bankroll as spreads tend to be rather generous, especially in terms of Over/Under total points markets, which are usually set too high.
In fact one could make a lot of money simply by betting the Under on every Week 1 game. See for yourself, as the games began on Thursday night and continue over the weekend.
We have enlisted the help of NFL betting experts who ply their trade at Mycapper.com, a sports handicapping website, and they have rather thoughtfully provided all our readers with a complimentary tip for one of tonight's games. We're hopeful this will continue throughout the season, so keep checking in for regular NFL picks at no charge.
Pick Selection: Jaguars at Eagles - bet on the JAGUARS to cover the spread (+3 points)
Analysis: "Underdog value plays abound in the preseason, where different rules apply. This game is a rematch of a preseason game last year in Philly where the Jaguars lost by a single point in a 65 point shootout. Look for a lot less points here but the same value play on a Jacksonville team that typically plays extremely hard in exhibition games. Last year's outfit did not lose a single game ATS even though they went 1-3 SU those 3 losses were by 3 points, 1 point, and 1 point!
By comparison the Eagles tend to take these games far less seriously and did not earn a single cover last year. It's an equally lazy spread of -3 points, given simply because the Eagles are at home and the odds makers figure that's good enough to divide the betting action. We think not. Look for the Jaguars to come away with the cover and probably the straight up win as well. Take JACKSONVILLE tonight."
