A regular player at the popular online scratch card site, Hopa.com, has made history by becoming the first winner of a massive €1 million at the site.
The player, known by her pseudonym, Lydie A., has been trying her luck at Hopa.com for a number of years and in September 2009, her persistence paid off when she won a massive €100,000 playing Super Slot 7 at the site.
However, her latest win is ten times that amount and the player is naturally over the moon.
The jackpot was hit on the recently launched multi scratch game Super 3 WOW, where the player needs to scratch to find three matching clovers to win the big prize.
This is the first time that such a huge amount has been hit at Hopa.com, marking a new milestone for the site.
Speaking about her feelings at taking home the jackpot, Lydie A. recalled how she initially believed that he had 'only' won €250K.
"This is not joy; it is madness because after winning €250,000 it takes some time to come back to earth! When I was playing and when I saw the amount that appeared on my screen as a win of 25 + 4 zeros, I became stuck to my chair and could not believe what was happening to me."
"Flabbergasted, I looked at it and then looked again at the €250,000 appearing in my cashier!" she said. "I checked it for a long time and realized that these €250K were not a dream but a reality.... until a member of the HOPA team contacted me to congratulate me on my €1 million win! Yes, you heard 1,000,000 Euros! I could not believe it because only €250K were in the cashier but the winning card, itself was showing €1 million. It's fabulous and so unpredictable...."
