Alderney is continuing to attract online gambling operators who seek out its reputable online wagering licenses.
The latest operator to turn to the gambling jurisdiction is Greentube, a subsidiary of the Astra Games.
The Austrian Greentube is part of the popular Novomatic Group.
The e-gambling director of e-commerce development for Alderney, Robin Le Provost said that Greentube's license application was just one of many, and he believes many more companies will follow suit.
"Licensing and regulatory developments taking place across Europe mean that it is becoming more attractive to European gaming businesses to have an international base such as Alderney," said Le Provost.
"What is significant for us with Greentube is that it is the beginning of a steady wave of interest from European-based companies," he added.
Alderney, with its central location, has a very strict standard of licensing and thus meets the demands of the UK Gambling Commission and is included on the country's White List of reputable gambling jurisdictions.
"Historically, European-based companies have wanted to be based and regulated in the EU but I think they are starting to see the advantages of having an international base like ours," said Le Provost. "We are on the cusp of Europe, but not part of the EU, and have a world-leading telecommunications infrastructure they can rely on."
Alderney is considered a tax haven for many operators and is a major factor of consideration for companies when choosing a licensing jurisdiction.
The Alderney Gambling Control Commission was formed in 2000 and the country's Gambling Law covers e-licenses to poker, sports books, casino groups and lottery companies
