An ad promoting Virgin Casino was seen on the air for the first time yesterday, after the parent company, Virgin Games launched an advertising campaign for the site.
The advert, 20 seconds of footage, premiered on UK TV on November 1st and will run for two weeks. It will run on ITV and Channel 4.
The entire campaign cost Virgin Games over half a million pounds and introduces the casino via a space theme.
Viewers are told about online slot games available at the site, including Da Vinci Diamonds, Cleopatra and more.
"We had such a fantastic response from our Virgin Bingo ad launched last year that we decided that this was the right way to go for Virgin Casino," said the Casino Acquisition Manager, Oliver Wilson.
"Bingo received a 100% increase in player registrations on the back of the first adverts aired late last year and this evidence suggests it makes absolute sense for TV to play a significant part in the marketing mix for the casino product," he said.
Wilson added that TV advertising is a new strategy for Virgin Casino and the group believes that customers like the familiarity and security or knowing that they are playing with a trusted and reliable company.
"Being part of the Virgin brand helps this, while TV raises awareness of the casino product and the range of slot games we offer," he said.
