888 Holdings has recognized that there is a lack of quality poker products for Mac users and has thus done something about it.
The Gibraltar licensed gaming group has launched a sub site to its hugely popular Pacific Poker online poker room, which will allow Apple Macintosh users to enjoy fantastic tournament action.
Especially pleasing is to see that players can enter World Series of Poker (WSOP) satellite tournaments in a bid to win their way to the Main Event of this prestigious annual poker event.
In addition, players can enjoy regular $70 buy in tourneys with guaranteed jackpots that will climb into the tens of thousands.
In a statement from 888, the group said that it was one of the few Macintosh Texas Hold 'em online poker rooms to offer WSOP satellite tournaments for its players.
"We believe that the online poker market might be shifting towards users wanting to play larger and more exciting tournaments such as the WSOP," said the group.
"The past three WSOP including Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer, and Joseph Hachem have all won their tickets by playing online satellite tournaments. We have big hopes that one of our Macintosh poker players will be the next champion."
888 concluded by saying: "PacificPoker.com's Macintosh Texas hold'em room uses a software programme called Java, which runs in the browser. This Mac poker room has similar interfaces as the Windows-based poker room but the accessories are minimised to keep game speed up."
