There are now only five contestants left in the X Factor 2010, and competition is as tight as it will get.
The two singers voted off this week were the controversial Katie Waissel and the Brazilian Wagner.
The double eviction saw the pair with the lowest placed acts dropped from the show after months of grueling competition.
Speaking for the first time after her leaving the show, Waissel said that she had put all her personal matters aside during the past few months in order to concentrate on her performances.
She was referring to reports leaked that her grandmother is working as a prostitute and even starred in a pornographic film at the ripe old age of 81.
When asked why she thought her beloved gran took to this profession at such a late age, Waissel said in the interview: "There wasn't really an explanation. I just think, in life, stuff happens and life is too short. You just have to pick yourself up and deal with things."
Asked how she dealt with the rumours and controversies during the show, Waissel said: "It's a personal and private matter so I separated that from the competition and I've kept my head high."
The five contestants left are Matt Cardle, One Direction, Rebecca Ferguson, Cher Lloyd and Mary Byrne.
Odds for the outright winner of X Factor 2010 are:
Cardle - 8/11
One Direction - 3/1
Ferguson - 4/1
Lloyd - 16/1
Byrne - 40/1
