Bookie Favourite Predictably Crowned Queen Of The Jungle

Stacey Solomon has won I'm a Celebrity... Get me Out of Here!

In a highly predictable finale, Stacey Solomon was crowned the winner of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! this weekend.

The singer, who came third in last year's X Factor, has been a bookie favourite since the show kicked off on November 14th.

Solomon beat Shaun Ryder, the 48 year old former singer of Happy Mondays and gave him a big hug after her victory.

The 21 year old was clearly over the moon with having been crowned Queen of the Jungle and said: "I've had the best time ever and Lord only knows I'm annoying, so thank you for having me!"

Reflecting back to her day's spent with her fellow contestants in the Australian bush, Solomon said that she "found the trials a lot harder than what I thought, everything made me a nervous wreck at every trial. I never want to do another Bushtucker trial ever again."

It was not all smooth sailing for Solomon, who had quite a personality clash with Gillian McKeith.

"Gillian's me, me, me, me.. people like that really bug me," said Stacey, who rejoiced after McKeith was voted off, calling it a "turning point" in the show.

Contestants this year included Alison Hammond, Britt Ekland, Dom Joly, Lembit Opik, Aggro Santos, Linford Christie, Sheryl Gascoigne, Jenny Elcair and McKeith.

Stacey Solomon's mother was waiting to greet her daughter and couldn't help throwing in: "Stacey is grateful for what she's got but I know she would love to have a record deal. She would love to do a proper album. It's always been her dream to make a living from music and provide for Zach [her 2 year old son]."
