Betting on the Oscars intensified this week as the nominations for the upcoming awards were announced.
The King's Speech, the drama which tells of a speech therapist who helped cure King George VI of his stammer, received an incredible 12 nominations.
The film has been nominated for Best Picture.
Altogether, 10 films are vying for this title, including the Black Swan, The Social Network and Inception.
True Grit, which, to everyone's surprise, was snubbed at the Golden Globes Awards, received ten nominations.
The film is the Coen Brothers' remake of the classic Oscar winning 1969 Western starring John Wayne.
Jeff Bridges has been nominated for an Oscar for a role previously played by Wayne.
The Social Network and Inception both received eight nominations each, while The Fighter, received seven.
Three of the actors in the Fighter (Melissa Leo, Amy Adams and Christian Bale) received nominations for their supporting roles in the move.
