Betfred, the leading UK sports betting group, has expanded its online bingo brand by purchasing two new sites this week.
The company announced that it had acquired BuckyBingo.com and its sister site, BOGOFBingo.com for an undisclosed amount.
Betfred now owns three top online bingo sites, as it already runs its own BetfredBingo.com brand.
Bucky Bingo and BOGOF Bingo were previously owned by Buckingham Bingo, a chain of bingo halls based in Manchester.
However, the company was sold, and the land bingo halls were bought up by Castle Leisure and Club3000.
Speaking for KPMG Corporate Finance, the company that advised Buckingham Bingo on the sale, Neil Meredith said: "BuckyBingo.com and BOGOFBingo.com provide an established and highly regarded online bingo offering that is well positioned to enter its next phase of growth under the new ownership of Betfred.com."
The Managing Director of Betfred, John Haddock said about the group's latest purchase: "This is a great acquisition for Betfred.com of a leading brand in the bingo market."
"Our intention is to continue with the Bucky brand and it will be business as usual. What I can say is that there will be plenty of investment that will give our customers a fantastic experience in the future."
