Betfred announced that it has chosen a new managing director to run its online gaming platform.
Chris Sheffield, who comes with many years experience in the business, will run Betfred's online gambling portfolio, including casino, bingo, poker, sports betting and mobile gaming.
Betfred is considered the world's largest independent sports betting brands and running this group takes much responsibility and skills.
A spokesperson for Betfred, Mark Pearson said: "Chris is an outstanding talent, and with his experience in mobile gaming, we are delighted with our new signing and everyone is looking forward to working with him."
Pearson added that Sheffield has several exciting plans, especially for Betfred's mobile betting and poker products.
Chris Sheffield joins Betfred after serving as Chief Executive Officer for International Game Technology (IGT)'s mobile gaming arm, Million-2-1.
He was also CEO for Eunite Limited.
Sheffield noted that he was delighted to join Betfred.com, especially at such an exciting time in the online gambling and mobile industries.
"We have just started television advertising and I am proud to join at the start of a high profile tournament in the Betfred.com World Snooker Championship," said Sheffield.
"I have a real affinity with the Betfred.com brand, which has been successfully developed by Fred Done and his team."
