Playtech has made further inroads into the growing Italian gambling
market, announcing this week that a number of partners are now using its
technology to offer Italian gamblers a new and exciting gaming experience.
According to Playtech, it is "the first software provider to complete the
Collaudo testing process for casino" which was set out by Italy's gambling
authority Autonoma Dei Monopoli Di Stato - or AAMS.
Some of the partners that are utilizing Playtech's software in Italy include
SNAI, TNT, Sisal and Buongiorno.
A statement issued by the software giant read: "Featuring all of Playtech's
leading gaming content along with a suite of operational tools created in
compliance with Italian regulations, the casino equips operators with a
competitive and attractive offering for this new market."
The Chief Executive Officer for Playtech, Mor Weizer, said that the Italian
market continues to be a major constituent of the European regulated environment
and the group was happy to further strengthen its position there with the
addition of casino games and cash table poker."
"Our innovative and fully compliant gaming product enables licensees to
benefit from the extensive opportunities that the regulated Italian market has
to offer," he said.
Conquering Italy Since 2008
Playtech has been part of the Italian gambling industry since
2008. Recently, the group introduced cash game online poker games through its
iPoker.it network, which meet all the requirements of the gambling authority.
SNAI.it and SISAL.it have been offering Playtech's tournament
online poker games, and can now go one up and provide cash table games.
This week it was announced that William Hill has also officially
launched into Italy, offering a wide range of products such as bingo, sports
betting and poker, as well as casino games, through a software platform powered
by Playtech.
The group has spent the past year and a half developing the
product to make it appealing for Italian players.
