Whether the Premier League kicks off tomorrow night or not is still up for
debate, but what is sure is that when it does, the action will be hot!
Managers have been frantically building their dream teams and incredible
amounts of money have been spent on top players who now have to literally prove
their worth in gold.
Unibet promises to provide its members with some of the best outright
winner odds in the English Premier League betting market.
Their favourites to win the tournament are Manchester United with odds of
8/5. Considering that these giants have won four out of the last five Premier
Leagues and 12 out of the 19 ever held, this seems like a no-brainer.
But Manchester City is itching to fight back and could provide a serious
challenge to United. Unibet has odd of 7/2 that they will win the Premier
League.
Unibet's market also features the only other team who may prove to be a
challenge to Manchester United's plans to win another trophy, Chelsea. They are
listed with odds of 5/2 and having won three titles in the last seven years
could give them the confidence they need to do just that.
Man Utd's Favouritism Leaves Unibet with Big Risks
The Head of Unibet's Sportsbook, Erik Backlund spoke about these
odds currently offered at the site.
"We have seen so much activity in the off-season. Manchester
United's obvious favouritism leaves us with hefty risks on them if they win yet
another title."
"We also have some big risks on teams such as Blackburn who won
the Premier League in 1995 at odds of 2,500," he said. "Tottenham who are always
popular as a realistic outsider at odds of 51,000 and Newcastle United at odds
of 1,000."
