Bodog online gambling group is determined to grab its share of the ever
expanding UK gambling market. This fact was reiterated by the group's new Chief
Marketing Director, Dee Dutta who has plenty of experience pushing major firms
in cut-throat industries.
Recently, Bodog gambling group applied for - and successfully received -
three operating licenses from the UK Gambling Commission, which will allow the
group to legally move into the country's gaming industry.
Bodog UK will be officially launched at the beginning of next year, based on
these three new licenses, with horse racing being the first sector to be added
to the site in the coming weeks.
The online gambling firm required the best person for the job to push its way
into the highly competitive regulated UK gambling market, and thus chose Dutta,
who was former marketing director of Visa and Sony Ericsson.
In an interview, Dutta made no secret about the new entity's objectives and
Bodog's expansion into the UK gambling industry.
"The UK is the largest regulated market in the world today and we want to be
a part of that," said the new Bodog Chief Marketing Director.
"The decision was not taken on market share. The key thing is to develop
trust with the UK customer. This is one of the most important things for the
industry."
Dee Dutta currently heads a team of 20 marketing professionals, and the
department will spend millions in the next few months as they get ready to make
the Bodog brand a familiar one to the UK gambler.
Bodog hopes to double the size of its creative team in due time and is also
seeking creative agents to help push the brand across the United Kingdom.
Bodog UK Sponsors Soccer Teams
Up until now, UK players have been mostly familiar with the Bodog brand
thanks to the gambling high profile sponsorship of Premier League football team,
West Bromwich Albion.
Bodog Europe signed a two season sponsorship deal with the West Midlands team
earlier this year, rumoured to be one of the biggest contracts in the football
team's history.
Bodog UK will be launching a live dealer product as part of its new brand and
said that it would release more details in the near future.
The gambling group is up against tough competition, including some of the
biggest names in the UK market, including Betfair online gambling and sports
betting firm, as well as giant sportsbook, Ladbrokes.
Bodog will also focus on improving casino services, claiming that this is a
much neglected area of the online gaming world.
