The Isle of Man announced this week that it has granted a remote gambling
license to Trada Games, an online gaming operator.
The license, issued by the Crown Dependency's Department of Economic
Development, will allow TradaGames to operate a new online casino, which will be
called TradaCasino.com.
According to the Isle of Man, Trada Games was granted the license after it
proved that it could meet and maintain the strict online gaming standards and
other licensing requirements set forth by the island's Gambling Supervision
Commission.
The Economic Development Minister for the island, John Shimmin said abut the
Isle of Man's license to TradaCasino: "It it testament to the safe and
secure environment the Isle of Man provides for new operators that we can
attract high quality new operators to use as their major base."
Also adding to the comments was the Head of e-Gaming Development for the Isle
of Man's Department of Economic Development, Garth Kimber, who said that
TradaGames is an innovative company which has an exciting future in a number of
countries.
"Their launch comes towards the end of another highly successful year for the
iGaming industry on the Isle of Man, testimony to the robust framework we have
in place to help new businesses thrive," he said.
TradaGames to Launch New No-Download Casino
The Director for TradaGames, Tony Stewart-Lord said that these were exciting
times for the company as it goes ahead with plans to launch a no download
'gaming on the move' model into a number of different countries.
"The license from the Isle of Man allows us the opportunity to break into
these markets, some which have an established iGaming customer base, and other
new territories that offer great potential for online and mobile casino player
development."
The Isle of Man's Gambling Supervision Commission, established in 1962,
continues to provide remote gambling licenses to operators who can prove that
they meet the high standards set by the commission.
The Commission falls under the control of the Isle of Man's Department for
Economic Development, and strives to maintain three main objectives: To keep the
gambling industry free of crime; to protect the young and others considered at
risk; and to ensure that the services offered by its license holders are fair,
with players ensured of fair winnings at all times.
Isle of Man license holders include top names in the UK gambling market,
including Boyles Sport, JenningsBet, Mahjong Logic, Paddy Power and Poker Stars.
