If ever there was a time to purchase a EuroMillions lottery ticket, today is
it, because the jackpot for tonight's EuroMillions draw stands at an
eye-watering £40 Million, which could kick-start anyone's 2012 and then some.
In the special EuroMillions draw last Friday night, 25 lucky ticket holders
won a guaranteed £1 million each, and two lucky players also took home £3.8
million in the Christmas Eve Lotto draw.
According to the National Lottery, only 15 of the EuroMillions ticket holders
have come forward to claim their prize so far, and everyone who bought tickets
are asked to check their tickets to make sure that they are not part of the
missing ten.
The National Lottery said that if all 25 people come forward to claim their
prizes from last Friday's draw, it would break all previous records for the most
number of millionaires created in a single lottery draw.
Friday night's draw was the final curtain for the exciting Millionaires Month
which kicked off in November - a promotion which saw the creation of no less
than 50 guaranteed millionaires.
According to a spokesman for the National Lottery: "The 15 EuroMillions
Millionaire Raffle winners will have woken up with a very special feeling on
Christmas morning knowing there was £1 million under their tree."
"We urge all EuroMillions players to check their tickets as there are 10
further £1 million prizes to be claimed. Anyone who believes they have a winning
ticket should call the National Lottery line on 0845 910 000."
Lotteries Contribute to Good Causes
Buying a lottery ticket not only puts you in line to win literally millions,
as last week's winners can testify to, but it also helps with very good
causes.
"In addition to creating so many overnight millionaires, this special draw
has helped contribute to the £30 million raised for good causes by the National
Lottery every week," said the spokesman.
To put themselves in line to win part of the cash up for grabs in tonight's
EuroMillions £40 million draw, players need to purchase tickets before
7.30 pm on Friday evening.
To play online, players need to open a National Lottery account, or they can
purchase tickets at any of the thousands of retail stores around the country. An
online player who wins will be sent an email, asking them to sign into their
account regarding news about the draw. Players are never informed about a win
directly by email for their own security and protection.
Remember that the EuroMillions lottery includes the UK Millionaire Raffle
which will continue to run every week and create two new UK millionaires -
guaranteed.
