"What would you do with if you win the lottery?" asks the UK Lotto, and this
may be just the week to find out.
The UK Lotto jackpot for Saturday January 7th is approximately £6.3 million
after nobody won the jackpot in the last draw - resulting in a rollover this
time around.
At just £1 a ticket, players have nothing to lose and everything to gain by
purchasing a ticket for the UK Lotto jackpot rollover and putting
themselves in line to become a millionaire six times over.
The Lotto is the UK's biggest millionaire creating game, with weekly draws
that take place every Wednesday and Saturday.
Players need to select six numbers from one to 49 in order to play. Six
numbers are drawn, which are considered the main numbers, along with one
additional number, which is the bonus number.
If players match a minimum of three numbers to the main numbers that were
drawn, they win a prize.
Players Urged to Check UK Lottery Tickets
In the meantime, UK lottery players are being urged by Camelot,
the national lottery operators, to check their tickets, after a large number of
prizes from tickets purchased over the holiday season are still unclaimed.
A case in point is the Shaw family from Grange, South Cumbria.
Karen Shaw purchased lottery tickets for each of her family members on a whim
just before Christmas.
It was only a few days later, after the tickets had been lying
under their Christmas tree for a few days, that the family decided to check the
numbers, which turned out to be winners. Beforehand, the family agreed to share
any winnings.
And only after Camelot representatives visited their home to
confirm their cool £1 million windfall as one of the 25 instant millionaires
created by the Christmas EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle draw, did the Shaw
family allow themselves to celebrate.
"The first thing we need to do is get the kids sorted out, it
will allow them to get a property - which will give me two spare bedrooms and a
lot less mess to tidy," said Karen Shaw. "Anthony and I always wanted to got on
an Alaskan cruise so we can plan that now, and of course we will also treat the
rest of the family. It is financial security really."

draws are on sale now.
