One Direction is one of the hottest boybands at the moment, and it comes as
no surprise that the group has triggered multiple betting markets at top online
sports betting sites in the UK.
One Direction, the British-Irish band, consists of five talented young men:
Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne, who
finished third in the seventh season of the X Factor UK.
Their September 2011 debut single, What Makes You Beautiful
reached the top of the UK singles chart that month and was the third fastest
selling single of the year.
One Direction's first album, Up All Night reached number two
on the UK Albums Chart and was the 16th biggest selling album overall last year.
The group has attracted a huge fan base and are religiously
followed on Twitter and through their Facebook page. As such, One Direction
fans who want to make a bit of pocket money while following their favourite band
can check out the different betting markets opened at sports betting sites.
The leading Irish sports betting and gambling site, Paddy Power is
offering players the chance to enjoy novelty betting on One Direction.
Markets such as 'the first of One Direction to become a dad', and 'the highest
US chart position in 2012' are all on offer.

One Direction Recently Involved in Car Accident
Fans were recently shocked to learn that One Direction had been
involved in a car crash, leaving three members needing treatment for neck
injuries.
After a performance in Birmingham this week, the band members
were returning home when a car sped into their tour bus. Three of them suffered
whiplash, resulting in severe headaches and spinal pain, but they decided to
continue with their performance the following evening in Plymouth so as not to
disappoint their fans.
With this sort of dedication, we may very well see One Direction
spread its wings and gain popularity in the United States.
Paddy Power has opened a market which compares One Direction and
another boy band JLS (previously UFO), and their chances on the US Billboard
Singles Chart.
Odds of 4/5 that One Direction will get the highest placing in
2012, and 10/11 that it will be JLS.
