Racing UK, the leading independent subscription-based TV channel operator
which boasts over 50,000 subscribers, has announced that it has signed
partnership deals with four top-rated UK bookmakers.
Racing UK has signed one year deals with Coral, Ladbrokes, Sky Bet and
William Hill that will see them become what has been billed as "premium
partners" to the racing channel.
The partnership deals, which will come into effect from the beginning of next
month and run for a course of twelve months, will see each of the four UK
bookmakers receive "significant sponsorship exposure", according to Racing UK.
As part of the partnerships, Racing UK will reportedly make all its
platforms, including its online portal and TV channels, available to promote the
sports betting operators.
Racing UK broadcasts races from thirty different British racecourses which
are regularly watched by its ever-growing subscriber base. And as the channel
continues to grow in popularity, and with three new courses soon to be added to
its list of courses, its subscriber base is expected to grow dramatically in the
coming months.
Racing UK is shown on Virgin Media 536, UPC 411 and Sky 432, and can be seen in
over 3,500 pubs and clubs across the United Kingdom.
"I'm delighted that these four premium bookmakers are partnering the premium
racing channel," said the Commercial Director for Racing UK, Nick Mills.
"We have enjoyed excellent relationships before with channel partners Coral,
Ladbrokes and Sky Bet and are delighted to welcome William Hill on board too."
"We all look forward to an exciting and fruitful twelve months," he added,
regarding UK Racing signing new partners.
Racing UK Brings "Pure Racing Entertainment"
Racing UK was launched as subscription channel in 2004 and
boasts on bringing players "pure racing entertainment".
According to Racing UK, the group was formed by thirty of the
top racecourses around the country who demanded more control over their media
rights and distribution. Following a "revolutionary approach" to sports media
rights management, Racing UK essentially allows the racecourses to manage and
develop their own intellectual property across the platforms.
Racecourses that form part of the Racing UK lineup include
Aintree, Carlisle, Cheltenham, Epsom, Kempton, Newbury, Newmarket, Nottingham,
York and Warwick. In addition, all profits made from the broadcast of the races
are fed back into the courses and used to improve their facilities.
Subscribers enjoy a number of benefits, including an automatic
Racing UK Club Membership which gives them over 50 free race days to attend each
year, as well as replay service and a quarterly publication which features
interesting articles and interviews.
