Defending champs England will kick off their
2012 RBS 6 Nations campaign against Scotland on Saturday, February 4 at
Murrayfield in Edinburgh, and RBS 6 Nations betting sites are posting
their odds.
The 2012 RBS 6 Nations Rugby Championship will commence from the first
weekend of February. It is a rugby union event that will be contested on
Saturdays and Sundays between England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France and
Italy.
This is the first year that there will be no matches on Friday evenings.
Since 1992, in 20 England vs. Scotland matches, England has won 16 with one
draw.
20- year-old Owen Farrell has been described as one of the most exciting
young rugby players to have emerged from England. As such, a hot topic of
discussion amongst England fans is whether or not Owen will make it into the
starting lineup of the England vs. Scotland RBS 6 Nations match.
The discussion assumes importance because Owen's father Andy is assistant
coach to the team, although Andy has made it clear that his personal
relationship will not interfere with a decision to play Owen or not.
He said, "It's good when you get home to be a father again and talk rugby
with your son, but when you get to the club or the England 6 Nations camp, he's
a player that I coach just like the rest of the players and that is how it's
been from day one."
